Lent 2025

During Lent, we take time to draw closer to God, as we think about Him, pray, and make small changes to help us follow Jesus better. Some people give something up (like sweets or screen time) to focus on God, while others give more (like kindness, time, or donations) to help others.

It’s a time for us to reflect on Jesus’ sacrifice and his time of fasting in the wilderness, but Lent isn’t just about saying β€œno” to things - it’s about saying β€œyes” to Jesus and getting our hearts ready to celebrate the amazing story of Easter!

Lent is a season of drawing closer to Jesus, and during our teaching together this year, we’ll be thinking about some of Jesus’ own spiritual practices, as we seek to learn to live holy lives as He did.

But holiness isn’t just something we talk about on Sundays; it’s something we grow into every day, in the ordinary moments of home life.

This year, we’ve pulled together some ideas for families to engage with at home; a weekly guide with ideas for ways you can further engage with Sundays’ teaching at home with kids, a daily prayer guide, as well as the general Lenten prayer & practical activities you can check out above.

Weekly Lent Activities

This weekly guide is here to help your family journey through Lent together. Each week, following our Sunday teaching, we’ll explore a different practice of Jesus – prayer, fasting, giving, Scripture, Sabbath, and humility – and provide some simple, home-friendly activities for toddlers, children, and teens.

Everything here is designed to be realistic for busy families – using everyday items, natural conversation prompts, and fun, meaningful ways to disciple your children at home.
